What is
the UML?
The Unified Modeling Language is an
industry-standard graphical language used for analyzing, modeling and designing
software systems. It
is used to visually model a
system using a set of diagrams which together provide a
concise view of the static and dynamic elements of the
system.
The UML diagrams are an excellent way
to communicate design decisions among developers; code is
often too detailed and words are too open-ended. The UML
diagrams provide the level of detail that is needed to
effectively communicate the architecture of
a system.
Furthermore, using the Unified Modeling Language
to model systems encourages proper design practices and helps
architects to take full advantage of the benefits provided by
object oriented languages.
Are you new to the Unified Modeling Language?
The Unified
Modeling Language is rich with features and can be overwhelming in scope to new
users. We have worked hard to bring you the essentials of the UML in a
friendly, intuitive and practical environment. Feel free to
try out our software and
let us know what you think.
Visual Case can help you learn
the Unified Modeling Language. Our tool supports the
most commonly used semantics in a easy-to-use
environment. Our UML
Tutorial
